What's the point?

So I read that Jennifer Nettles who is the lead singer of the country duo Sugarland is releasing a solo album. I'm not a big fan of hers, her voice is too nasally for me but it did bring me to a thought...

MY FINAL TAKE is why do people who are lead singers of groups feel like they need to make solo albums? They are really the only voice you hear so it pretty much is like a solo album. Yes I'm talking to you Gwen Stefani and Rob Thomas. You want to do some different music? Fine just tell the band. It seems easier than going out and finding a new band to do the music

Year of the Dragon

If you have listened to the radio at all in the past year you have probably heard at least one song from the group Imagine Dragons. They are a group who were nobody's a year ago and now are one of the biggest names in music. I love their music and can't wait for their second album to come out.

MY FINAL TAKE is that since their debut in September of 2012 they have taken the world by storm and don't show any signs of stopping. As their NIGHT VISIONS tour winds down in the next couple of months I can honestly say that this year has been the year of the Dragon.
